This thing is amazing. It really does work like a charm. Hundreds of apples fall in our yard weekly in late summer. This thing will save my back. No bending over, works very well in short to medium trim grass (haven't tried it in overgrown grass yet). Durable, very convenient tool.
We went from hand gathering to using this brilliant tool. This took 10 hours of labor and it changed it to 2! Durable and works great. Gathers walnuts even if they are buried in leaves and then throws the leaves out of the basket!

Received the item yesterday and my husband said it works well. We have an abundant amount of gumballs in the yard and he hated gathering them with a rake and scooping them up later...back-breaking! Don't know why we didn't order this a long time ago.
This worked great on the medium to large (golf ball to tennis ball size) black walnuts covering our 3/4 of an acre. We picked up well over 5000 pounds of black walnuts and barely bent over! 100% would recommend

I bought this specifically to pick up pine cones. Cones aren't smooth or round, you can't just roll the tool over them and expect them to be picked up. Instead, I found the best technique was to hold the tool upright and bounce it on the cones, which then went between the wires with no further effort. I was able to fill the basket on the first run and again on the second and I was done, no bending or raking. The basket was easy to empty, whether using the built-in device that opens the wires or simply by doing the same thing by hand, and it doesn't look likely to fall apart or bend out of shape any time soon.
