I have been using the Lumina 750 Boost for a while now and decided to order this light. In comparison to the Lumina light, it is a little bit brighter, so it is likely to be accurate around 1,000 lumens which is plenty bright for night riding! After opening it, my initial impression is that it felt very high quality. It feels like it is made from strong materials and should do very well in hard biking conditions (time will tell).

I've put 120 miles on my road bike after work this week with this light and I am very impressed! Out on the road I seem to be more visible to cars and because of how bright the lamp is, those making lefts in front of me or pulling out of side streets are waiting. The light is bright enough I might be perceived as a motorcycle at first. When cars approach from behind the flood of light in front of my bike increases visibility from there as well; I'm consistently getting cars that hold back and provide wide separation while passing. Out on the bike trails near my home, visibility with the 800 lumen setting is about 100 feet of the trail, 1200 takes that out to at least 150 feet if not more. With either setting I can roll along at 20-22 mph without catching up to the light...just awesome! Lastly I find the mounting of the lamp just fine and in fact allows easy adjustment of the light up and down to either throw light further or beam down for oncoming cyclists etc. The picture with my review is the 1200 lumen setting on a local bike trail in total darkness. The picture was taken without the included diffuser.

I was very surprised how solid the light felt. Mounts very easily. Extremely bright!!! It’s very simple to remove, recharge, and put back on the mount.

This headlight is great ! It is very bright when needed at night and I use the strobe effect of it during the day. The battery holds up great for my use.

This is the very best bike light I have found. Have had many. It is so powerful in high that cars flash me to lower my beam. Not flimsy anywhere. Comes with everything to attach to your bike. Heavy duty. STRONG. Excellent lenses. And rechargeable. Wait till you try it out the first time. I guarantee you will be so happy.
Lights should be thought of as very important and necessary safety equipment that shouldn't be cheaped out on. No matter the distance, do not hop on your bike without a helmet and (if riding in the dark) your light. Forget about the price point for a second, the budget friendly rechargeable lights are not bright enough to see with, be honest, and will probably go out after a couple falls or bumpy roads. I live in Phoenix, AZ, a fairly over populated city with decent lighting, still not enough to be seen during dark times while on a bike. Do you expect that every driver out there will be looking out for you, even if they see you, you need to make sure you are 100% visible on your bike, DONT CHEAP OUT ON LIGHTS. I don't believe there is such a thing as too bright for the city road or feeling bad for blinding oncoming drivers, if the light is seriously that bright that customers are worried about blinding drivers, THAT'S A GOOD LIGHT. Would you prefer to ride with confidence or have a near miss every night because your rechargeable 300 lumen LED is just not enough light to save your life.

This is the best bike headlight at any price, but it is also the least expensive. This actually is my second purchase, because my bike was stolen. The first one I used for hours every night--yet it was like brand new after a year. There is one interesting aspect however: IF you mount the battery near the handlebars (which I do), and IF you are using the middle beam (which I do), and IF you have a bike computer also on the handlebars, the computer will stop working. Why? The frequency of the PWM (pulse generator on mid-beam) creates stray EMF which interferes with the wireless transmission from the wheel. The remedy is easy: Take the battery out of its case and wrap it completely in aluminum foil. Put the wrapped battery back in its pouch. This creates a "Faraday cage," preventing the release of stray EMF. [The EMF comes from the battery, not the light itself.] End of problem, and you have an awesome light!
